Being the 10th highest peak in the world, the Annapurna has its own introduction. It is, perhaps, the only highest peak in Nepal whose beauty has been compared to the legendary Everest.

As its name suggests, Annapurna Base Camp Trek takes you to the base camp of the Annapurna. But what the name doesn’t say is that the trail you will be passing through is one of the best trekking trails in the world. The glimpse of incredible snowy pinnacles, with icy buttresses soaring parallel to the mountains, form an impeccable scene. The beauty of this classic trail is even admired in several books of adventure, by explorers of different times. It is indeed one of the most rewarding treks in Nepal.

Beyond adventure, there is so much to learn from the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The smiling people, who are battling with the extremities of Annapurna, have taught many adventurers that happiness is possible even in the hard times. They are very much hospitable by nature, and you will get the chance to witness their rural lifestyle at first hand.

Itinerário detalhado
Day 01/
Arrival in Kathmandu and a good rest

Once your flight lands in the airport of Kathmandu, walk towards the exit point of the airport. There, one of our representatives would be waiting for your arrival with a play card, of your name, on his hand.

He will greet you with a warm smile, a fresh garland, and a hospitable Namaste in a traditional Nepalese style. Then, you will be accompanied to your hotel where you may freshen up and take rest.

In the evening, you will be introduced to your guide, who will detail out all the briefings about the trip. With him, you may clear out whatever queries you have in your mind about the trip. Feel free to ask anything.

Day 03/
Pokhara - Pedhi - Tolka

From Pokhara, we will vehicle up by Jeep until Phedi. It takes around 5 hours to finally reach there. While most of the trekkers hit on their journey from Nayapul or Birethanti, we will skip that way as the trails are often more crowded, and finding the personal space becomes difficult.

In contrast to that, Phedi is a wonderful spot to kickoff on the trek to Annapurna as the views grow gradually from classic paddy fields to the amazing mountain scenarios, providing you the ample time to experience the nature. Plus, the people of that region are very much humble with the guest which is another advantage of starting from Phedi.

From Phedi, we will proceed along the road until arriving at a junction where the trail divides into two. Following the trail that goes north, we will proceed to Tolka via Pitam Deurali via the NATT trails. Once we get there, we could see our first mountain view, over the north-western skyline, on a clear day. This is just the inkling of what you are about to see in the coming days.

Day 05/
 Chomrong – Dovan

This day can be a bit more exciting one as we are about to enter into the snowy parts of the Himalayas. But alongside the views, the trail demands you to take a steep climb, several times on the way, which can be a little annoying. However, that’s okay as the fruit without hard work doesn’t taste sweet.

From Chhomrong, we will climb for the first few hours along the steep way to Sinuwa via Bhanuwa. At Sinuwa, there are few lodges to stay. Once you turn around back, you could see the village of Chhomrong and Modi Khola valley down the lush hills. A little way up, you could also see the village of Dovan, perched on the hillside.

From Sinuwa, we will head straight ahead to Bamboo through the dense forest of Bamboo Bushes. The sounds of Birds and the colors of the butterfly, in the forest, temper the anticipation of what is about to come next.

From Bamboo, we will enter into the avalanche-prone region until Dovan, which will be our stopover for the night.

Day 07/
Macchapuchre Base Camp to Annapurna Base camp and back to Dovan

To reach ABC from MBC, it nearly takes 2 hours. Once you are there, the mountains are all yours. Seeing the uneven heights of the mountains, it feels as if they are battling with one another for decades on who is taller.

Generally, in the day time, the views are covered in the thick haze. But, if you are at the right time, you can enjoy the mountain views, right in front of your eyes. Plan a spare day at the ABC in case the weather is unfavorable.

After enjoying the views, we will descend back to Dovan for the night stay.

Day 09/
Jinu To Pokhara

We will catch a Jeep to Pokhara , and if we get time, we will also explore the Phewa Lake, the Mahendra Cave, the Davis waterfall, or even try out Paragliding in Pokhara

Day 02/
 Kathmandu and Pokhara

From Kathmandu, Pokhara is just 205 km away. You may either catch a tourist bus or a private carrier or take a flight to Pokhara.

While traveling by road (6-7 hours) is a time-consuming option, you may choose the latter option (45 mins) for the fastest travel. What’s more, by choosing the flight option, you will skip the toil of long driving hours.

On the other hand, the road option takes you along the lush hills and more outstanding viewpoints which are not available in the flight package.

To conclude, both options have their own advantages and disadvantages. So, it depends upon your priority on which means of transport better suits you. We can help you in choosing the most compatible option.

Day 04/
Tolka – Chhomrong

Early in the morning, we will have our breakfast and, with the backpacks ready, start-off on our trek to Chhomrong. First, we will have to walk until Landruk, where the trail divides into two.

The left one takes you to the village of Ghandruk, a Gurung society, from where you will have to descend to Modi Khola just to rise again a few hundred meters. It is a strenuous task.

The better option can be to head straight ahead to Modi Khola at New Bridge, where the trail leads up towards the Jhinu Danda. From there, you may as well take a side trip to the Jhinu Hot Spring, which is believed to have supernatural healing power, like other hot springs in Nepal.

From Jhinu Danda, the steep stone stairs lead us towards the Chhomrong with clear views of gorgeous mountain panorama on the west. Upon arriving at Chhomrong, we will check-in to our hotel and prepare for the next day ascend.

Day 06/
Dovan - Macchapuchre Base Camp

From Dovan, the risky part of the trail is left behind. We will proceed to Deurali via the dense alpine woods of the Himalayas and, finally, approach the Macchapuchre Base Camp.

These woods are faraway silent from the noise of bustling cities, except that the smooth melody of swirling winds passes by your ear. There is a huge overhanging rock on the way to Deurali, which provides best views of the incredible snowy-legends of Annapurna region. It is worth spending a few minutes there. Back in the early days, this place used to be the stopover for porters and traders to spend the night as there were no lodges or teahouses to stay.

From Deurali, we will head on to the Machhapuchre Base Camp for the night stay. The Machhapuchre Base Camp doesn’t look like a base camp, but spending a night there will reduce the chances of being victimized by the altitude. So, it is a kind of acclimatization stay.

Day 08/
Dovan - Jinu Hotspring

From Dovan, we will follow the same trail that we have been through earlier until Jhinu Hotspring. It is worth plunging into the Hot Spring in order to relax your body.

For the night, we will descend to Jhinu Danda for the night.
